What to Expect During the Procedure

Vascular treatments are generally well-tolerated procedures for most patients. The sensation is often described as comparable to a rubber band snapping against the skin. Some patients will feel an intense heating sensation. Ultrasound gel is applied to the area, and a cooling plate/ or ice pack is used for comfort.

Patients who are pregnant, patients with an active herpes outbreak. If you are prone to cold sores, we may pre-treat you with a prescription prior to your procedure.
